It was with this fervent fascination when I decided that the location of choice to field-test the new Shimano Triton Game rods had to be at Port Stephens, Australia. more

To test the new range of Caranx Kaibutsu popping rods, Shimano chose to carry out their rod field-test in Exmouth Western Australia. Exmouth was selected as the location of choice because of the variety of conditions and environments which different styles of popping can be carried out. The area is also under minimal fishing pressure due to its beautiful and remote ruggedness. more

To give the new Jigwrex rod a decent test, we opted for a location that could produce large quantities of big and strong pulling fish. The location of choice for the testing was decided to be off Fremantle in Western Australia. Every year, during the summer months, schools of Samson fish congregate at certain areas off the Western Australian coast to spawn. Rottnest Trench, off Fremantle is one such prime area where fishes of 40-50kg are common during this period. more

To give the ultimate test for a surf rod design specifically for game fish, we decided to put the new HORIZON SURFGAME through its paces to target monster sharks from shore in Australia. The destination of choice is a small town in Australia called Exmouth. more
